I got a nice note from an editor today saying that he enjoyed the book proposal and was planning to pass it along to his colleagues for their review.
Still a long ways from the "yes" but hey, what a nice note, eh?

Also saw your article in CHIMES -- didn't read closely yet...but am definitely looking forward to it! Nice to see all those wonderful young women highlighted!
I'm with Steph, Congratulations! and hey that is way better than "your gifts don't match our needs," but "good luck with that call search" Right?
